Anti-Defamation League

For more than eighty-five years the ADL has been active in fighting anti-Semitism, bigotry and racism. Their web site is a superb resource for profile and activity information on all kinds of hate groups and their leaders. The quickest way to get to this information is to go to the Law Enforcement Agency Resource Network (LEARN) section of the web site and click on Extremism in America.

Crosspoint Anti-Racism

This site is managed by the Magenta Foundation in Amsterdam, and provides access to information and materials related to a broad range of human rights in practically every country in the world.

DMOZ.Org - Open Directory Project

The Open Directory Project is a database of information developed and maintained by web users all over the world, a public venture by users of the Internet. The easiest way to get to the information on race- and racism-related matters is to go to the Race-Ethnic-Religious Relations section of the site. But there isn't any area of human life uncatalogued in their database.

HateWatch

HateWatch is an organization that monitors hate web sites and offers itself as a resource  for combatting online bigotry. There is an online community forum for the exchange of messages and information on events and situations occurring in the U.S. and around the world.

The Nizkor Project

The information on this web site is concerned primarily with the Holocaust, but there are links to information about white supremacist, militia and other hate groups. Go to the American Organization section for quick access to this information.

Political Research Associates - The Public Eye

Though not as comprehensive as the Anti-Defamation League, this site contains online articles and information on print resources as well as links to several other similar sites. The homepage is filled with quick menu selections so it is easier to navigate than some of the others.

Stop-The-Hate.Org

This site contains a seemingly endless list of links to other web sites. The home page leads to sections on race-based and religion-based hate groups, the KKK, and militia organization. There is also a page with many links to anti-hate and anti-racism resources.

Southern Poverty Law Center

The SPLC is a long-standing organization whose mission is to combat hate, intolerance and discrimination. They monitor the activities of hate groups across the country, and publish the Intelligence Report online. This publication offers analysis of political extremism and hate in the U.S. Updates on various legal actions and resource materials for teaching tolerance are available. One feature of the site is a comprehensive list of active hate groups organized by categories. This section of the site makes it possible to identify the geographical location of known hate groups.
